Talbot's Taproom & Terrace is an extremely popular place to dine. One reason for it's popularity is it's owner, Talbot Reiber.
Talbot's motto is, "The meal I promise and serve is my reputation. If you enjoy it, tell others. If not, tell me." His goal, simply put, is to make his customers happy. Based on the many five-star reviews the restaurant has received, he is doing just that.
What to Expect
Talbot's has dozens of menu offerings that are rotated throughout the year. All meals are made from scratch, never frozen. Reviews regularly mention that Talbot's crab cakes and soft shell crab selections are excellent. Entrees you'll want to consider include Osso Bucco, Jalapeno Chicken, Nantucket Chicken, and Aukra Salmon. Note that weekly specials are also offered, so don't forget to check those out when you visit. For example, a current special is the Roll Tide, which include BBQ, baked beans, cornbread croutons, and chicken breast.
Talbot's also has a great kid's menu. Hot dogs, mac and cheese, pizza, and grilled cheese sandwiches are just some of the meals kids can choose from.
As previously mentioned, Talbot's Taproom & Terrace maintains an excellent bar, with a wide selection of craft beers and liquors. Regional breweries are well represented. For example, you'll find selections form Lancaster Brewing Company, Voodoo Brewery, and North County Brewing Company. Bottled beers include favorites such as Spoetzl Brewery's Shiner Bock and Ithaca Beer Company's Flower Power.
Oh, and don't overlook the artwork at Talbot's. The restaurant is adorned with numerous unusual items, including large origami animals, paintings from the Dominican Republic, and portraits of various musicians.
Hours are Wednesday through Sunday, starting at 12:00 noon. Closing hours vary. You can make reservations, but they must be made by phone, rather than online. Everything was delicious! For appetizers we had the crab cake and the pretzels. The were both very good! For dinner had "Off the Reservation". It's was awesome! The duck and the lamb lollipops were cooked perfectly and the lobster tail was just icing on the cake! We drove from Youngstown to try it and it was worth the drive!!!

It looks like a little hole in the wall but the jalapeño cream cheese stuffed shrimp were amazing. The bar pretzel was one of the best and the entrees were also top notch. My wife got the dude where's my car which are fried chicken sliders and I got the flat iron steak lobster tail, carrots, risotto and shrimp with there mac n cheese.

What an amazing experience – Talbot’s is not to be missed!
We reserved a table for 15 guests, and the service was on point throughout the night. The food Talbot’s offers is outstanding, and unlike anything else you will get in the area. We all drove in from Erie solely based on the photos of their food and no one was disappointed! We feasted on scallops, lobster, steak, pork osso buco, crab dip, ahi/tuna poke, the list goes on. There is truly something for everyone. Talbot’s made fans of all of us, and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you for being so accommodating and providing such a great experience!
