Here's a short history of The Jacqueline House and your host.
About The Jacqueline House
While giving much of a feel of a historic home, The Jacqueline House was actually built from a dream just over twenty years ago. The original owners, Bob and Lynn Harry, had looked elsewhere to begin their new venture of owning a bed and breakfast, but circumstance and providence brought them back home. They began the large addition to their then modest farmhouse, and endured a whole year of countless hours planning, searching, and constructing to make The Jacqueline House the gorgeous structure it is today.
The Jacqueline House successfully operated as a B&B for 13 years before an unfortunate smoke fire required the home to be taken down to the studs for a complete restoration. Luckily, the then owners, John and Ida Felix, put much care into the work needed to once again bring this beautiful house to life. Fresh paint, a new kitchen remodel, and the addition of a conference room accompanied the special attention put into the original moldings and antique pieces. Guests were again welcomed through the door until the house was then in need of a new innkeeper.
